Hi I’m Kat, a Personal Trainer and Lifestyle and Wellness Professional.

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog – I hope it is inspiring and motivating!

I am currently based in London and available for one-on-one training, small group training,
corporate and nutrition seminars, as well as offering a full range of email training programs and plans, nutritional advice and coaching.

My history -

I’d been lifting weights for a number of years and always loved working out, so in 2001, I started my fitness qualification. I was working for an insurance company at the time. Before I started working at a gym, I would travel to the office of one of my first clients, armed with just a medicine ball and a couple of dumbbells. I would also try out workout programs on my friends. I did a number of ‘body for life’ challenges and realised how powerful body transformation was, and how it can improve almost every aspect of a persons life.

I started working at Les Mills gym, New Lynn, Auckland in 2003, after one of the Managers said “Kat, you’re always here – you might as well work here” – so I did.

Many, many clients have come and gone over the years, but those who followed my instructions to the letter, have all gotten the results they wanted. I am amazed and humbled by all the people who have achieved health and fitness success with the assistance of my advice and support.

I have personally tested the fitness techniques and nutrition tips I give out. I don’t just say it, I do it myself.
Whether it’s getting stronger, leaner, dropping body fat or increasing muscle, I have lived this lifestyle consistently week after week for almost my entire adult life.

I give you this little time line as a demonstration of my credibility. I have personally transformed myself from an office worker with poor posture, who consumed too many biscuits and lattes, to feeling fit, strong, full of energy and getting up on stage to compete in my peak physique. I know the battle, I understand the struggle to change your lifestyle…

I have competed in the figure and shape class of 5 bodybuilding competitions, which have taught me more than anything else about pushing the ‘perceived’ limits of the human body.

I’m TOTALLY passionate about helping people to improve their body – to live a healthier and happier life.

    You have a great website! I live here in NY. Would love to find out how you are doing with your business. I too, have been exercising my entire life! Also, I have been Personal Training for 27 years. I was soo passionate about training myself and my clients for many years. Now, I am just training people at home, but I am having difficult time building my business so that I don’t have to work another job to supplement my income. I, too, used to do bodybuilding contests in the mid 90′s and lead a bodybuilder’s lifestyle for 15-20 years. In the late 90′s I needed foot surgery on both my feet and was unable to do cardio…so I went on a low carb diet, for fear of gaining weight, and have been eating low carb for 10 years. With that, my stomach never feels gassy and I lost 10lbs. and held onto my mature muscle for all these years. I no longer have to kill myself with cardio, although, 8 months out of the year, I walk about 10-15 miles a week, weather permitting. Of course, I still weight train on a regular basis, but not at the same intensity as I did in my 20′s. I burnt myself out while living a bodybuilder’s lifestyle with cardio and eating clean for the 15 dedicated years. I am still in great shape for 47. Your website really inspired me and I want to have what you have with your business. I found your name from the System 9 website. Would love for you to share or motivate me to get my business going full-swing. Would love to hear from you!
